CleanH2O.org is the culmination of more than 15 years of giving to poor rural areas by NelsonFoundation.com founder Michael E. Nelson.  Since his early teens Nelson has given generously to various causes and supported organizations dedicated to bringing Clean H2O (water) to the under-developed Nations and regions throughout the world.  

Today more than 1.4 Billion people world-wide don’t have safe drinking water.  A child dies every 15 seconds from lack of clean H2O!  One in four children who die before age 5 worldwide, die of a water related disease.  Children often walk miles every day to collect dirty water to drink.  Through the CleanH2O.org project the Nelson Foundation with your generous support can change all this negativity for just $20, less than the cost to fill your tank with gas just one time! Kenya, a developing Nation and home to the late father of President Barack Obama, is just one of many countries around the globe which is struggling with generating CleanH2O for their people.

Dirty, diseased water leads to a cycle of poverty and continued un-developed nations around the world, the Nelson Foundation through the resources of it’s founder Michael E. Nelson, is working diligently with other similarly focused NGO’s around the world to end this cycle of poverty, through the efforts of the CleanH2O challenge.

Every year more than $100 Billion dollars is spent on bottled water around the globe.  The United Nations estimates that if given just 1/6th of the money spent on bottled water each year around the globe, approximately $15 Billion, this money could cut in half the number of people without access to Clean H2O.
